CONNECTICUT STATE POLICE ENFORCEMENT JULY 4th HOLIDAY

   The final Connecticut State Police holiday stats for the July 4^th Holiday Operation:

   The holiday count began on July 3^rd starting at midnight and continued until midnight on July 5^th.

Summary 

TOTAL ACCIDENTS:     170
with injury:                48
  fatal:                           2
DUI ARRESTS:              33
SPEEDING TICKETS:    859
OTHER HAZARDOUS MOVING VIOLATION TICKETS:  2,461

   State Troopers will continue to enforce all motor vehicle laws as the summer continues.

NOTE:   2014 stats (July 3 to July 6, 2014):  312 accidents;  47 with injury; 0 fatals; 42 DUI Arrests; 1,559 speeding tickets; 3,841 other hazardous moving violation tickets.
