Christina Hearn sidelined by trooper with weapon while whooping it up on highway impaired by drugs
Cornwall, NY – New York State Police report that on September 17, 2017, at approximately 2:56 p.m., State Police responded to the area of I-87, in the Town of Cornwall for a report of a possible motor vehicle accident. The Trooper’s investigation at the scene revealed that Christina K. Hearn, age 26, of Laguna Niguel, CA, was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs. She was taken into custody, transported, and processed at SP Newburgh. While at SP Newburgh Hearn was further evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE), and submitted to further testing to determine the alcohol and or drug content in her system. She was subsequently charged with:
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree; a Class A Misdemeanor
- Assault 2nd Degree; a Class D Felony
- Operating a Motor Vehicle Impaired by Drugs; an Unclassified Misdemeanor
- Reckless Endangerment 1st Degree; a Class D Felony
- Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree; a Class D Felony
- Reckless Driving; an Unclassified Misdemeanor
- Multiple Vehicle and Traffic Violations
Hearn was arraigned before the Town of Cornwall Court and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $50,000. Cash bail or $150,000. Bond. She is scheduled to reappear on September 22, 2017, at 2:00 pm.
